On the world stage, the fern is synonymous with New Zealand. It adorns our sports people’s uniforms, many of our biggest brands, and in the lush green expanse of our forests, its unfurling form is found behind almost every corner. This sense of opening, of nature offering up luxurious secrets, is captured in our Fern designs: smooth mirrors, echoing the image of New Zealand’s many pristine lakes with the image of the ferns at their edges. This was what brought inspiration to this collection: the sight of ferns in nature, in the hair of a young girl, in the undergrowth of a sprawling forest, in the shadow of a snow tipped mountain.
